ACTIVITIES
WEEKLY ACTIVITIES
NATIVE LANGUAGE AND SPEECH
Making children understand their native language and culture and the importance thereof is our main priority. Language and speech develop via reading to children and analysing the stories read.
Books are our best friends.
EXERCISE AND NATURE
All activities involving exercise take place outdoors: outdoor games, dance, rhythm and tennis classes.
During free time, children can play in our spacious garden.
All activities are supervised.
MATHS
Maths and logic are integrated in all learning activities.
Maths helps to:
* guide children in making sense of the world of phenomena and objects;
* teach children to navigate time and use appropriate terminology; and
* encourage children to describe their surroundings in mathematical terms.
ROBOTICS
Hands-on activities with robotic tools make educating children exciting and modern. Children are quick to acquire knowledge about robotics and smart devices and they love making their creations move and make noises.
Robotics is a mix of technology, programming, electronics and several other fields of science. The whole learning process takes the form of simple activities, which are used to make a robot perform various tasks – it is sufficiently playful to appeal to children of all ages.
COOKBOOK CLUB
The Cookbook Club is an engaging and educational activity for children of all age groups.
The club comes together once a week to prepare a dish from the ingredients provided. By weighing, measuring, cooking and boiling, children acquire an understanding of cooking and its usefulness. We devise a new recipe each week and use it to prepare an amazing dish that we will taste together. By the end of the year we will have completed our own cookbook.
MUSIC
Creating music helps children understand it.
Music begins with silence, followed by the exploration of your own voice and listening to and making different sounds.
We wish to pass this knowledge on to children.
ART AND CREATIVITY
The combination of thinking and hands-on activities promotes creativity.
Painting, handicraft, sculpting and drawing give children the chance to test their ideas and learn various art techniques. This results in exciting works of art.
SPANISH
Language develops children’s cognitive and social skills.
We learn Spanish through playing, singing and movement in order to expand children’s world view and understanding of different cultures.
